The Locust Valley Library offers a Trick or Treat from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come in costume and get your picture taken. Trick or treat at all the “stations” and leave with lots of goodies. For more information contact Leslie Armstrong at 516-671-1837. It is perfect for young children.
Bayville Car Show

Walking Oyster Bay
Enjoy a Walking Tour of Oyster Bay on Nov. 1, beginning at 2 p.m. Join Oyster Bay Historical Society Director Phil Blocklyn on a leisurely foot tour of Oyster Bay, that starts at 20 Summit St. It features historic sites along East and West Main Streets, Audrey Avenue, and South Street in the heart of the hamlet: Q&A welcome. Restaurant Week Begins
Come celebrate Restaurant Week in Nassau County from Nov. 2 to 9. Participating restaurants will offer a prix-fixe menu from Sunday to Sunday. Locally the list includes Luce in East Norwich; The Brass Rail in Locust Valley; and Cedar Creek in Glen Cove. There is a complete list online. Ask your favorite restaurant if they are participating.
Long Island Baroque Ensemble
Christ Church hosts the oldest authentic, professional early music group on the Island, the Long Island Baroque Ensemble, on Nov. 2 at 3 p.m. as it duplicates the sounds of times gone by with a concert of early music performed on replicas of period instruments. College Interview Prep
The Locust Valley Library offers a 90-minute seminar from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on how to prepare for the college interview and how to optimize your college visit. The program is led by Barbara Becker. Register in-person, online or by phone. Pointers will be provided on how to answer the toughest questions. Instruction on necessary preparation before, during and after your campus visit will be presented as well as suggestions on how to best time visits and what to look for in order to maximize your experience.
