Tom Buzzitta, Valerie Gavora, Heinz Pape, Charlie Pupelis, Carter Haff, Bill Miller and Antonio Centeno will don their aprons again for the 39th Annual Holiday Boutique and Craft Fair run by the Ruth Circle of Church of Our Saviour, Lutheran.
The large auditorium is converted into a beautiful festive holiday scene including decorated Christmas trees. Santa Chris will be on hand to visit and is available for photo ops for people of all ages. Bring your children, grandchildren, friends and neighbors for this wonderful event.
A special attraction this year is the participation of author, illustrator and opera singer Bryce Westervelt, the creator of the popular new children’s picture book series The Adventures of Pomodoro Penguin, about the pasta-loving penguin with his friends: the opera- singing turkey, geography-loving giraffe and best friend, an owl named Violet. His books are perfect for gift giving and he will be available to sign them.
Featured departments include attic treasures; jewelry; frozen soups to go; delectable homemade baked goods of all categories; homemade jams and pickles from homegrown cucumbers; beautiful raffle prizes; boutique items handcrafted by members; and quality vendors with merchandise to please all. Toys, books and games will be handled by the Church Youth Group.
The most popular attraction still remains the German/American Café, serving traditional pea soup, bratwurst, hot dogs and chicken salad with homemade cakes for a finale: the perfect place to meet friends for lunch. Free admission and ample parking at Church of Our Saviour, Lutheran, 1901 Northern Boulevard, across from Crate & Barrel. All are welcome to attend on Saturday,
Nov. 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
