Assemblyman Tom McKevitt (R)
Tom McKevitt received his bachelor of arts, summa cum laude, from Hofstra University, and his law degree from Hofstra Law School where he was articles editor of the Hofstra Law Review. He worked for nine years as a deputy town attorney for the Town of Hempstead, and is a member of East Meadow Kiwanis and the East Meadow Chamber of Commerce. First elected in 2006, he is currently serving his fifth term in the Assembly, where he holds the number three ranking position in the Republican Conference. He lives in East Meadow with his wife and two children.
Candidate Jonathan C. Clarke (D)
Jonathan Clarke is the son of a war veteran and small business owner. He was born and raised in Freeport. Clarke holds a B.A. in Classics and Philosophy from Hunter College and a J.D. from Touro Law Center. He worked as a market analyst for several years before going to law school in order to pursue his passion for public service. Clarke is a licensed attorney, currently lives in Levittown and works at a private law firm in East Northport. Jonathan Clarke is committed to establishing term limits, reforming campaign finance, fighting corruption and revitalizing Long Island through economic development.
