Village of Munsey Park residents and those that park on village streets by Munsey Park Elementary School should be alert to the upcoming changes in parking.
Please take notice that on Monday, Nov. 10, new parking regulations will go into effect on various streets around Munsey Park Elementary School.
The Munsey Park Board of Trustees, after hearing increased number of complaints from residents, and in an attempt to ease the parking situation around the school during pickup, will change certain parking regulations on the following roads: Abbey Road, Hunt Lane, Revere Road and Remington Road.
The change will include various areas being signed as ‘No Parking or Standing 3-4 p.m. School Days’ or ‘No Parking or Standing Here to Corner’. These parking regulations will only allow parking on one side of the street to direct traffic away from the school.
The parking changes will open up the roadways for passing vehicles and organize parking in an orderly manner while providing pedestrians a safe side on which to walk.
The sign changes will be done on a trial basis, so that village officials can receive feedback from the community.
