Whole Foods Supports SEPTA

Whole Foods Markets Manhasset has supported the Manhasset PTA for special education (SEPTA) with a generous donatiSepta_112114Aon from the Give Back 5% shopping day that was held on Wednesday, Aug 27. Five percent of all spending that day, which totaled $4,683, was donated to Manhasset SEPTA as part of the store’s commitment to educators in the community. Whole Foods Manhasset and Manhasset SEPTA would like to thank the community for shopping and supporting the event.
“We are so grateful to Whole Foods Manhasset for the generous donation and selecting SEPTA as the recipient of their give back day this year,” Manhasset SEPTA President Diane Treacy states. “These funds will  benefit the students and school staff over the 2014-15 school year with programs and resources.”
Whole Foods Markets Manhasset, located at Northern Blvd and Port Washington Blvd, is committed to giving back to local communities with four 5% Give Back days over each calendar year. In the past, Whole Foods Manhasset has donated healthy snacks for Manhasset school district teachers during staff training days.
Manhasset SEPTA is a local chapter of the National PTA supporting Manhasset’s special education population, including teachers, school staff, children and their families. Through expert presentation, workshops, community programs and local resources, SEPTA provides support for over 600 Manhasset families and more than 700 school staff members. Manhasset SEPTA proudly services the needs of students with disabilities, gifted and talented students, and students receiving academic intervention services.
