Off-Peak, Daytime LIE Lane Closures in Effect Sunday November 23,
Exits 41 to 43 in the Town of Oyster Bay, Nassau County
Motorists are advised that travel lane closures will be in effect between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. in the eastbound and/or westbound directions of the Long Island Expressway (LIE/I-495) from NY Route 25/Jericho Turnpike, (Exit 40) to South Oyster Bay Road (Exit 43), Sunday, November 23, 2014 in the Town of Oyster Bay, Nassau County. The ramp from NY 106/107 northbound to I-495 westbound will also be closed temporarily.
These off-peak daytime LIE travel lane closures are needed to perform a routine bridge inspection of the NY Route 107 bridge over the LIE. As with most road work, this operation is weather dependent and may be canceled, postponed, or prolonged due to inclement weather. Emergency service providers and local officials have been notified of these travel lane closures. Motorists are being warned in advance of these closures via electronic message signs and should use alternate routes or they may experience travel delays.
