Congratulations to Senator Carl Marcellino on his re-election. Marcellino has been a champion on environmental issues and has been a leader in creating sustainable standards, enforcing safe disposal and limiting the amount of toxins New Yorkers are exposed to.
There is a full docket of environmental legislation waiting for action next year. We are going to need every green champion to advance critical initiatives such as lifting barriers to clean energy, fighting climate change, strengthening the Environmental Protection Fund and fully funding the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s Capital Plan.
As Chair of the Committee on Infrastructure and Capital Investment, Senator Marcellino will play a key role in setting New York’s environmental agenda next year.
His leadership will be essential for developing our clean energy economy and protecting our environment for future generations. We look forward to rolling up our sleeves with Senator Marcellino and getting the job done.
