Nassau County police have reported the arrest of an East Hills man for misdemeanors involving menacing and possession of a deadly weapon. According to police, Richard Brummel of East Hills was charged with the misdemeanors on Monday, Nov. 10. Police said Brummel was taking photographs of property on Diana’s Trail.
Police were called to the scene and found the defendant pointing a fire extinguisher at a resident in what they called a “threatening manner.” Police said that when Brummel saw the police coming, he put the fire extinguisher in his car. The arrest was made shortly thereafter.
