Obituary: Schimmel, Charles

Charles Schimmel, 79, longtime Bethpage resident passed away on Nov. 6. Beloved husband of 56 years to Nancy (nee Marano). Loving father of Scott (Beverly), Peter (Kim), and predeceased by sons Steven and Paul. Proud grandfather of Danielle, Nicole, Peter and Nicholas. U.S. Army Korean War veteran, MEA Graduate of Hofstra University and retired 30-year Grumman employee. A Funeral Mass was held Monday, Nov. 10, at St. Martin of Tours RC Church, followed by interment with military honors and Pinelawn Memorial Park. Arrangements were entrusted to the Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc.
