Zoning Board
The next meeting of the Village of Farmingdale Zoning Board will be held on Dec. 11, at 8 p.m., at Village Hall, 361 Main St. in Farmingdale.
Sixth Grade Band and Chorus Concert
On Dec. 11, Howitt Middle School students in the sixth grade band and chorus will take the stage at 7 p.m., for their winter recital.
St. Kilian Women’s Guild Christmas Party
On Dec. 11, join the St. Kilian Women’s Guild at 6:30 p.m., for an evening of Christmas cheer, including live entertainment, raffles, a delicious hot buffet, wine and soft drinks, dessert, coffee and tea in the Blue Room of the parish center, 485 Conklin St. in Farmingdale. Cost is $20 per person.

Gingerbread Competition
On Dec. 13, the Chocolate Duck, 310 Main St. in Farmingdale, will host the second annual Long Island Gingerbread House Competition. Judging will begin at 9 a.m. and is closed to the general public. At noon, the exhibition will open to the public, with an awards presentation at 4:30 p.m.
This year’s theme is “the Gold Coast era,” and will feature structures inspired by the Gold Coast Mansions, Old Westbury Gardens, Sagamore Hill, Bayard Cutting Arboretum, the Great Gatsby House and more. For more information contact Christina Bisbee at 516-249-0887 or email cakegirl70@aol.com.
Holiday Caroling
On Dec. 13, join the Farmingdale Christian Church at 1 p.m. for some holiday caroling along Main Street.
Holiday Army Truck Ride
The American Airpower Museum, 1230 New Highway in Farmingdale, will be holding its annual holiday truck ride, on Dec. 13 and Dec. 20, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. There will be hot chocolate, candy canes and even old Saint Nick himself will stop by for some photos. TMB Model Train Show Open House
On Dec. 13 and 14, join the TMB Model Train Club, 120 Schmitt Blvd. in East Farmingdale, from noon-4 p.m., for their annual open house. On Dec. 13, the USMC Hicksville Substation will be distributing toys for tots at village hall, 361 Main St. in Farmingdale, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Living Faith Church Concerts

STEM Expo
On Dec. 20, students in grades K through 5, will place their science experiments on display, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., during the district’s annual science fair and STEM expo at the high school, 150 Lincoln St. in Farmingdale.
Ho Ho Ho Holiday Run
On Dec. 20, join the Greater Long Island Running Club, at 9:30 a.m., in front of John F. Kennedy Middle School, 500 Broadway in Bethpage, for the start of the 5K holiday run.
Registration is open from 7:30-9:15 a.m. $25 to participate.
