Hance Family Foundation Christmas Blood Drive at Memorial Hall in Our Lady of Victory Church on Dec. 13 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. No appointment necessary. Photo identification is required. Eligible 16-year-olds must have parental consent. Also bring a new toy for donation.


Sunday, Dec. 14

The Floral Park Lions Club will hold its Annual Charity Holiday Breakfast and Chinese Auction fundraiser at the Floral Park Village Hall on Dec. 14 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A full hot breakfast will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; the Chinese auction will begin promptly at 1 p.m. Special appearance by Santa Claus. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children under the age of 10, and may be purchased at the door or in advance; reservations are suggested. Proceeds will benefit Lions’ supported projects. Happy Kwanzaa

Queens County Farm Holiday Open House on Dec. 26, 27, 28 from noon to 4 p.m. at 73-50 Little Neck Parkway in Floral Park. Warm up by the fireplaces of the Adriance Farmhouse at this annual event. Grab a cup of mulled cider and enjoy tours of the decorated farmhouse. Kids’ crafts throughout the afternoon. Free admission.

The Queens County Farm Museum in Floral Park will hold its holiday open house on Friday, Dec. 26, Saturday, Dec. 27 and Sunday, Dec. 28 from noon to 4 p.m. Enjoy tours of the decorated farmhouse, mulled cider and craft activity for children. FISH Of Floral Park

Provides free transportation to and from medical appointments for senior citizens who are residents of the Floral Park/Bellerose area and cannot afford cab fare or who have no other means of transportation. Floral Park United Methodist Thrift Shop

The United Methodist Church Thrift Shop, at 35 Verbena Ave., features jewelry, clothing, housewares, bric-a-brac, dishes, linens, collectibles, some furniture, small appliances and antiques. Open every Wednesday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Donations gratefully accepted. Call 516-354-4969.

At The Bellerose Jewish Center

Located at 254-04 Union Tpke., Floral Park. Free Jewish education for kindergarten and Sunday School children. A thorough religious curriculum with experienced teachers for third grade to their Bar/Bat Mitzvah is also provided. The Renaissance Group.
