Club Celebrates Holiday Spirit

The holidays are in full swing at Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club. Last week, members of the club celebrated the holidays with three exciting and fun-filled events. Members of all ages were invited to take part in the festivities, creating holiday memories that will last a lifetime.

On Tuesday, Dec. 2, Santa Claus took a break from his busy schedule to visit all the boys and girls at the club. Setting up shop in the club’s Learning Center, Santa heard the Christmas wishes of all the children who wanted to meet him. Some kids even had their lists ready and knew exactly what to ask Santa for this Christmas.

After Santa’s visit, members of the club then took a brief walk down Forest Avenue to see the Locust Valley Christmas Tree Lighting. The kids eagerly awaited the lighting of the tree while enjoying some hot chocolate and treats. They even got to see Santa again when he rode into town on a local fire truck.

The holiday fun did not stop there, however. On Wednesday, Dec. 3, members put on a holiday show for the entire club. The talented youngsters sang and danced to “Jingle Bells,” “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer,” and “All I Want for Christmas is You.” The show was a big hit with all in attendance loving the show from start to finish.

The club extends a special thank you and round of applause to the amazing performers Sydney Yabo, Michaela Madden, Anthony Guzzardo, Ruben Herrera, Cynthia Jerez, Olivia Dillon, Camila Meza, and Katy Gehnrich.
