It was a great night of sportsmanship and recognition for Massapequa High School’s girls’ varsity volleyball team. Under the leadership of Coach CarolAnn Habeeb-Kiel, the team scooped up three separate sportsmanship awards from Conference I, Nassau County and New York State officials at the recent Nassau County Girls’ Volleyball Coaches Association Dinner.

It was the team’s sixth time winning the Nassau County award and third time winning the state award. Habeeb-Kiel was also awarded Conference I Coach of the Year and Nassau County Coach of the Year, awards she has received several times. The program has won 15 consecutive Conference Championships, 15 consecutive Nassau County Championships, three LI Championships and one New York State Championship during her 27-year career. The team has also been undefeated for the past 11 years.
Congratulations, girls, on this well deserved honor!
