The Port Washington Children’s Center (PWCC) has unveiled a new logo to accompany the new year.
The anchor motif denotes the nautical history of Port Washington, as well as the foundation of educational care for thousands of children that have attended the children’s center for almost 40 years.
The blocks of colors represent PWCC’s focus on children’s four major programs: early childhood, KidsPort, Daly after-school, and Port day camp.
The timing of the new logo coincides with the release of the Port Day Camp 2015 summer program. Residents can request a brochure or go online to see what’s new for PWCC’s 2015 summer camp, including the addition of a second bus to shorten transportation time, as well as “Discovery” courses that are now part of the Bay Buccaneer’s camp experience at no additional fee. The early bird special tuition deadline is March 13.
On May 7, PWCC will honor Rev. Charley and Jeanne Vogeley at the annual gala event to be held at the Swan Club in Roslyn Harbor. The Vogeleys have been long-time supporters of the Port Washington Children’s Center and Landmark on Main Street. The Reverend has provided many years of leadership for the clergy association.
Jeanne’s strong dedication to the Port Washington School District has touched the lives of many children.
You can make a tax-deductible donation to the Port Washington Children’s Center. Send to PWCC at 232 Main Street, Port Washington, New York 11050; phone 516-883-4864. PWCC’s website is www.pwchildrenscenter.org.
