The price of oil has dropped. Yipee! Consumers are happy, with more money in their pockets to consume. Billionaires in Congress and others on Capitol Hill are happier as they rake in the loot. They loosen laws allowing more funding in elections, so they can control their outcomes.
The underlying reality of dropping oil prices is overlooked.
The green economy of renewables, especially solar and wind, is in the back seat. Europe and the Arab nations are smarter, expanding their renewable industries of solar and wind investments. They are building stronger, healthier economies and helping the environment. Once again our fossil fuel industry wins through immediate gratification while long-term solutions of solar and wind energy are bypassed.
