On Jan. 15, the Westbury Boys Track and Field team competed in the Conference Three Championship meet at St. Anthony’s High School in South Huntington. Competing against eight other Nassau County schools, Westbury emerged victorious, capturing their fifth consecutive Section VIII Conference Three Winter Track Championship.
The Green Dragons earned points in all 14 track and field events, producing nine athletes with All-Conference honors. Highlights of the evening were Reggie Calixte winning the 55 Meter Dash, Erik Carter winning the 55 Meter High Hurdles, Brendan Alerte winning the Triple Jump, and the relay team consisting of Joshua Jean, John Owhe, Jeff Smith, and Reggie Calixte winning the 4X400 Meter Relay to clinch the win for Westbury.
The Green Dragons will be competing in the Nassau County Championship meet on Feb. 4 at 6 p.m. at St. Anthony’s High School.
