UPDATE: Nassau County cops have identified the victim as Hany Awad, 56, of Levittown. Police are looking into a possible connection between this incident and two other BP gas station robberies in New Hyde Park and Thomaston.
A man was found shot dead at a gas station in Jericho on Wednesday, cops said.
According to authorities, a customer entered the BP Gas Station at 39 Jericho Tpke. and saw the male attendant laying on the floor behind the counter. Cops arrived and found the man, a 56-year-old, dead with a gunshot wound to the torso. He was pronounced dead at 9:30 p.m. The victim’s name is being withheld pending family notification.
