New Hyde Park Memorial High School announced Jay Shah as valedictorian and Morgan Roth as salutatorian of the Class of 2015.
Shah is currently enrolled in five advanced placement classes. He is a member of the National Honor Society and New Hyde Park’s Talented and Gifted program.
Shah has been elected class president three years in a row and was selected by his teachers for the American Legion Boy’s State Leadership Program last summer. He also volunteered his time, tutoring a special education student last summer in addition to his summer job.
Roth is a scholar, an athlete, a musician and a philanthropist. She is an All-State bowler and was selected for the Orchestra for Talented Youth and the Tri-M Music Honor Society.
Roth is also the president of Key Club and has spent countless hours volunteering her time to plan fundraisers for several service organizations.
