The Port Washington Parent Resource Center (PRC) was awarded a $2,500 grant from the Nassau County Bar Association’s We Care Fund to fund its Outreach Program.

Marc Gann, Esq., presented the check, which will go toward the Outreach Program’s weekly Stepping Stones class that provides educational experiences for children from low-income families with little or no access to prekindergarten programs.

The grant will also support the Scholarship Fund that allows these children to take general PRC classes. The classes include music, arts and crafts, science, sports and preschool.

“We are grateful to the Nassau County Bar Association We Care Fund for the decision to award this grant,” said Leila Noor, director of development for the PRC. “The We Care Fund has been very generous to the Parent Resource Center over the years, which has greatly helped our Outreach Program and our low-income families. Thanks to grants such as those from the We Care Fund, our children from low-income families are able to our classes.”
