Anton Media Group Editor-in-Chief Liza Burby and Mineola American editor Rich Forestano visited the Meadow Drive School on Friday, Feb. 27. The two discussed the journalism profession, since first grade students are currently learning about newspapers. The students researched feature and news articles, headlines and interview processes prior to the visit.
Children peppered Burby and Forestano with questions, ranging from how newspapers are put together, what it takes to be a journalist to the daily news cycle and covering community topics.
