Fifth graders from the East Hills Elementary School in Roslyn visited the North Shore Animal League (NSAL) last month to present a donation of $200. The donation was a result of a profit from the East Hills School store.
Each child had a role in developing, marketing and selling products to their peers. The students along with their Enrichment teacher, Suzanne Falcone spent the afternoon touring the 71-year-old facility and learning about the rescued animals. The group chose to have the donation go toward treats and toys for the dogs and cats.
