Obituary: Robert J. Smith

Robert J. Smith died on Feb. 27, 2015, at the age of 90. Of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and Bayville. Beloved husband of the late Carol. Devoted father of Tracey (John) Cannnova, Cheryl (Glenn) McManus, Sue (John) Rockwood. Cherished grandfather of Makena and Lola. Dear brother of Rosemary Lufrano. He proudly served our country as a P47 Fighter Pilot during WWII. Former owner of S&H industries. He was an avid skier, golfer and pilot who enjoyed piloting his own plane. His passion was racing Formula 1 race cars and sailing. Family received friends at the Francis P. DeVine Funeral Home Inc., 293 South St., Oyster Bay. Funeral Mass held at St. Dominic R.C. Church.
