BOCES Open House

Long Island high school students interested in pursuing a career in the arts – from Dance and theatre to film, art and music – are invited to attend an open house at the Long Island High School for the Arts on March 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The only public high school for the arts on Long Island, this program has been providing

professional-level training and preparation for more than 40 years. Last year’s graduating class of 58 seniors received more than $5.5 million in scholarships and grants from some of the nation’s most highly esteemed colleges and conservatories, including The Juilliard School, Joffrey Ballet School and Rhode Island School of Design.

A Summer Arts Academy is also available for students in grades 6 through 12 with an interest in the arts. The program runs from June 29 through July 24. Information about this program will also be available at the open house.
