Cops say a burglar crept through a rear door and into a home before robbing a woman as she slept.
According to detectives, the suspect entered a residence on 8th Avenue in Sea Cliff between 3:30 and 7 a.m. on March 12. Cops say he proceeded to a second floor bedroom of a 21-year-old female who was asleep and stole a Coach wallet containing cash, a credit card and a bank card. The suspect then made unauthorized purchases at local stores using the victim’s cards, according to authorities.
The suspect’s image was captured on surveillance footage. Detectives request anyone with information regarding the crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-8477. All callers will remain anonymous.
