PetEmergency_032515ATatyanna Soliwoda has a passion for helping others. The Seaford local is currently a senior at Seaford High School and has been a dedicated Girl Scout for the past 13 years.

“I am pursuing my Gold Award, which is the highest award that a Girl Scout can earn,” said Soliwoda. “My goal for this project is to educate and inform the community on the importance of emergency pet preparedness and help the public keep their pets safe in the event of an emergency.

Soliwoda knows that pets depend on their owners for their well-being, and it is very important that their safety be included  in every family’s emergency plan of action.

“Although it is important to remember that you and your family’s safety comes first, no pet should ever be left behind,” said Soliwoda. “Through my project, I would like to get that message across and help families keep their pets safe through every emergency.”
