The Plainview Fire Department responded to a house fire on Lincoln Road East on March 26 with a dual response from Engine No. 1 from Bethpage.
Arriving units to the address found the fire to be on the next block over, Grohmans Lane. The electrical service to the home was ablaze at the box extending into the first floor of the home as well as the basement. Firefighters used an ansul extinguisher to keep the fire down until the utility company came to shut down the power to the home. Once the power was turned off, the fire was quickly extinguished.
