The Port Washington Children’s Center board and friends will host their annual gala on Thursday, May 7, at the Swan Club in Roslyn. The event will honor Jean and Rev. Dr. Charles R. Vogeley, who have long been involved with the PWCC and the local community as strong supporters of affordable, accessible and quality childcare in Nassau County.
The event, which is from 7 to 11 p.m., is sponsored by the Peter and Jeri Dejana Family Foundation, and will feature Warren Schein as MC for the Scholarship Auction to benefit children who require financial support to attend the PWCC’s summer program. The gala will include cocktails, dinner and dancing to the sounds of “Mystic The Band.”
A tax-deductible contribution to the Scroll of Honor for the Vogeley’s can be made by April 30, or a donation to the Port Washington Children’s Center’s annual scholarship fund can be made at any time to PWCC at 232 Main St., Port Washington, New York 11050.
