Mineola Bank Robber Search Ongoing

Nassau County Police released an image depicting the alleged perpetrator of a Mineola bank robbery on March 28 at 10:55 a.m. The suspect was photographed wearing a mask which only reveals his eyes, a dark colored hoody and a blue denim-type jacket.

Authorities described the suspect as a black male, 20-30 years old, between 6-foot-1-and 6-foot-2 inches tall, medium build with a dark complexion.

Police said the man entered Bethpage Federal Credit Union on Jericho Turnpike in Mineola with a black handgun and demanded money. The man took the money, placed it in a bag fled and the location on foot, police said. He was last seen running westbound on Jericho Turnpike.

During the incident there were five employees and four customers present. No injuries were reported.
