Why are we putting up with Nassau and Suffolk OTB that loses money or breaks even? Is the reason for building a casino to save them and the patronage or to create jobs and revenue? Simple solutions to create more jobs and revenue, close OTB sell the OTB palace to a private company add Texas Hold em’ Poker Tournaments and let them take sports betting. Next get rid of the New York Racing Association sell those properties to a private company and let them turn Belmont Race Track into a first class destination resort with Hotel Spa, restaurants, shows, casino, indoor water park and entertainment for all ages. Now doesn’t this make more sense than to allow government to run gambling? If we’re looking to create jobs and revenue why are we looking for answers from Nassau and Suffolk OTB?
