The Nassau County Police Department Third Squad reports the details of a fatal vehicular accident which occurred on Monday, April 20, at 7:30 p.m., in Lake Success involving a Great Neck teenager.
According to detectives, a woman, 19 years of age, identified as Adana Taranis (a graduate of Great Neck South High school in 2014), was traveling eastbound on the Long Island Expressway South Service Road, in the vicinity of Community Drive, when her vehicle lost control and struck a tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene by a Nassau County AMT at 7:50 p.m. There were no passengers in the vehicle. No criminality is suspected at this time.
