A 52-year-old Pennsylvania woman was fatally struck by an SUV while crossing a street in the driver’s hometown of Amityville on Tuesday morning.

Suffolk County police said Lora Rohner, of Stroudsburg, Penn., was walking across Oak Street  when she was hit by an Acura that was making a left turn out of a parking lot at 9:30 a.m.

The victim was taken to Saint Joseph Hospital in Bethpage, where she was pronounced dead.

The driver, 31-year-old Yeimy Pichardo-Cruz, was not injured.

First Squad detectives impounded the truck, are continuing the investigation and ask anyone with information on this crash to call them at 631-854-8152.
