A 22-year-old North Amityville woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash in North Lindenhurst early Friday morning, Suffolk County police said.

Christina Ramdas was in the westbound lane of Route 109 when she was struck by a westbound vehicle east of Wellwood Avenue at 3:30 a.m., police said.

The vehicle fled the scene, police said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Vehicular Crime Unit detectives are continuing the investigation and ask anyone who may have witnessed this crash or has any information about the incident to call them at 631-852-6555 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS FREE. All calls will be kept confidential.
