Come share an afternoon of hope, support and fun at Johnny McGorey’s Irish Pub and help raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). The afternoon will feature drink specials, raffles, silent auctions and more. Come show your support for Jason Fleischer, New York City’s LLS 2015 Man of the Year nominee. Doggie Tales
A Read to a Dog program for children who can read on their own. Your child will gain confidence in their reading while keeping a canine friend happy. All dogs are certified therapy dogs. Fire District Board Meeting
The regular meeting of the Massapequa Fire District Board of Fire Commissioners scheduled for May 25 will take place on May 18 at 8 p.m. at 1 Brooklyn Ave., Massapequa.
Lions Club Meeting
The members of the Massapequa Park Lions Club will host a meet and greet gathering at 7 p.m. at the Bar Harbour Library to introduce themselves to prospective members interested in joining. PFC Dwyer Peer Mentoring Program that has been formed in Nassau County to help veterans with any issues and concerns that they might have meets Thursdays at the North Massapequa Community Center, located at 214 North Albany Ave., Massapequa at 2 p.m.
