Chris Napolitano has been volunteering her services to the Mineola Community for over 20 years. She has been an avid supporter of district wide fundraisers, has attended extra- curricular events, concerts, sporting events, plays and musicals. Over the years, Chris has been a strong advocate for many educational initiatives. Always wanting what’s best for every child in this district, always seeking to raise the bar.
For the past six years Chris has served as a Mineola School Board Trustee, vice president and president.
Her savvy, forward-thinking ideas have helped propel the Mineola Schools into a school district that we can all be proud of—-an award-winning school district. In fact many other school districts look to us as an example they would like to follow. She makes sure our programs are keeping up with the times and that our children are prepared for the future. The Board of Ed. has been able to do all of this while staying within our budget constraints.
Brian Widman has been actively attending the Board of Ed. meetings for the past seven years. He has been following along with all that has been happening in the district since reconfiguration was first mentioned. He understands the complex nature of the Board of Ed. and just how much time and energy it takes to be part of such an important position. He is always willing to lend a hand when attending PTA functions. He also knows he needs to learn things along the way and is not afraid to ask the tough questions. He is approachable and dedicated to keeping the Board of Ed. on track for all of the children of the district.
I urge you all to vote for Christine Napolitano and Brian Widman. We need to keep the district moving forward. We need to continue to seek educational improvements. We need to maintain our programs. We need to continue to be fiscally responsible to the taxpayers of our district.
We need Chris and Brian looking out for all the children and all of the district. Let’s keep the “trust” in our “trustees.”
