SUNY Old Westbury baseball senior first baseman and designated hitter Christian Faust of Massapequa was recently named 2015 All-Skyline Conference First-Team.
In 20 games played, Faust, who graduated from St. Anthony’s High School, batted a career-best .355 (22-or-60) with one home run, 20 RBI, 10 doubles (T-4th in conference) and 14 runs scored. He recorded seven multi-hit games and seven multi-RBI games in addition to reaching base in 11-straight contests. Faust was also named to the Skyline Conference Weekly Honor Roll for games played from March 30 through April 5.
Additionally, Faust is a member of the team that won the 2015 Skyline Conference Championship and made their first NCAA Championship Tournament appearance since 2001 on May 13.
Old Westbury faced rival Farmingdale State on Championship Sunday for the sixth consecutive season. With the win, Old Westbury prevented Farmingdale State from capturing its eighth consecutive title.
