Roslyn resident Francis Carcamo Ramirez was one of the 22 students from Nassau BOCES Barry Tech who took top honors at the New York State Regional SkillsUSA conference.
Ramirez entered the contest for Electric Construction Wiring, where he was a third-place winner.
Students participated in a series of timed events related to their courses of study at Barry Tech, as well as in competitions in leadership and professional development. Students successful at the regional level of competition advanced to the NYS SkillsUSA Leadership and Skills championships, held April 22-24 in Syracuse, NY.
