Amber Court in Westbury will hold a grand opening on Friday at 11 a.m. for their newly built addition called The Alcove, featuring a secure upper level for memory care.
“As our population continues to age, the need for more specialized care is required,” states Robin Marks, Long Island Regional Director of Amber Court.
Amber Court continues its custom approach to assisted living with the creation of this residential environment. Stylish, well appointed, elegant accommodations also maintain a warm, home-like earthiness. Inviting spa inspired touches appeal to residents and their loved ones.
Residents will enjoy an enhanced quality of life with an array of amenities utilized to address a wide continuum of care. These include therapeutic design elements, beautiful country kitchens, and dedicated private gardens. Beyond that, professionally trained recreational and care giving staff members fulfill the mission to “make the most of each person, each day.”
“Attention to every detail was quite evident upon a recent tour of the new addition,” states Mary Ann Malack-Ragona, Executive Director/CEO for the Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center. Ragona further stated that “extensive research and thought went into the development of The Alcove from the colors on the walls to the design of the floor, lighting, communal areas, and apartments. These are critical components when caring for an individual with memory impairment.”
