On Sunday, June 14 at 7 p.m., Temple Sinai of Roslyn will host an evening of song, “Cantors In Love.” On that date, Temple Sinai’s own cantors, Sergei and Elena Schwartz will join married cantors, David Perper and Faith Steinsnyder along with married cantors, Jeffrey Stock and Hollis Schachner for an evening of song planned with a mix of Jewish classics, Israeli songs, American and European love songs, classical, folk and Broadway show tunes.
Schwartz is the cantor at Temple Sinai and his wife, Elena Schwartz is the cantor-educator at Temple Sinai. Perper is the cantor at Beth Haverim Shir Shalom in Mahwah, NJ and his wife, Faith Steinsnyder is a professor at Hebrew Union College and The Jewish Theological Seminary. Cantor Stock is a chaplain for the Simon C. Fireman Community in Randolph, MASS and his wife, Hollis Schachner is the Cantor at Temple Shir Tikva in Wayland, MASS.
In addition to the evening of music, there will be a reception immediately following the concert. All are welcome. This concert is free for Temple Sinai congregates; $18 for nonmembers.
