Seven student athletes from the Plainview-Old Bethpage School District’s John F. Kennedy High School Varsity Track team recently broke division records for their performances this season. In the Distance Medley Relay, students Troy Benson, Josh Wicker, Alex Hilbert and Sam Iryami beat the previous record by 25 seconds. In the Sprint Medley Relay, Troy Benson, Tom Lee, Brandon Park and Kyle Sansaricq beat the previous record by five seconds with their time of 45.5 seconds. Finally, in addition to being a part of the record-beating groups, sophomore student Troy Benson beat the individual record for the 300 meter sprint by .5 seconds with his time of 40.7 seconds.
