Rita D’Alonzo received the Mary Ellen McCollum Board Service Award on June 10 from Bill McCollum and Julie Meer Harnick, Community Chest of Port Washington’s executive director, for her many years of dedicated service as a Community Chest board member. The award was named after Bill’s late wife, Mary Ellen, who served on the Community Chest board for more than two decades and was committed to helping her family and the people of Port Washington. The official presentation was made at the Community Chest’s annual meeting of members.
