The Roslyn Rotary Club honored Roslyn High School senior Victoria Tu as the June Rotary student at its luncheon on June 18. Victoria’s community service has included working on the Young Adults Advisory Council (YADAC) of the Bryant Library as the copresident, to build a closer community through social events such as an international food day and video game competition. She also was a teaching assistant for the Chinese knotting class at the Chinese Cultural Association of Long Island. She gave students individual help in this traditional form of arts and crafts, which was a creative way for them to learn about Chinese culture, and she occasionally served as a substitute teacher for the class.
