The fourth annual “Art-o-rama” is coming to the Graphic Eye Gallery, at 402 Main Street, on Saturday, August 1. Everyone is invited to hang original art in any medium in the gallery. There will be no judge, no jury and no restrictions. Just show up and show.
Art-o-rama is a wonderful opportunity for artists to share their work with the public. It is also a way for the community to help support one of the oldest surviving co-op galleries on Long Island.
The entry fee of $30 per piece entitles participants to hang their work (framed or unframed) in the Graphic Eye’s bright, spacious gallery across from Inspiration Wharf and Louie’s Restaurant. Works will remain on display from August 2 through August 30 during regular gallery hours (Fridays through Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.) and will be attended at all times. A reception will be held on Sunday, August 9 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. There will be no commission fee charged for any works sold during the event. Sign in and hang your work on Saturday, August 1 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Hammer and nails will be supplied; you supply the creativity.
