Assemblyman Ed Ra will host his free barbecue dinner to honor local veterans. The annual event will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13, at VFW Post 2718, 68 Lincoln Rd., off of Hempstead Turnpike, in Franklin Square.
The Nassau County Veterans’ Service Agency will be available to discuss services. Additionally, representatives of the county clerk’s office will offer discharge paper filing and Veteran Discount Program cards. DD-214 originals are necessary for clerk services.
Veterans and one guest are invited to attend. Reservations are necessary and can be made by calling Ra’s district office at 516-535-4095.
