FISH of Floral Park will hold its board of directors meeting on Sept. 9 at 3:30 p.m. at United Methodist Church at 35 Verbena Ave. (use Violet Avenue entrance).
The Bellerose Village Architectural Review Board (ARB) will hold a regular meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 7 p.m. at village hall, 50 Superior Rd.

The Floral Park Chamber of Commerce will meet on Sept. 10 at 12:30 p.m. at Jack Duggan’s Pub. Guest speakers will be Mayor Tom Tweedy, Police Commissioner Stephen McAllister and Fire Chief Brian Naughton.
The John Lewis Childs School PTA will meet on Sept. 10 at 9 a.m. The Floral Park-Bellerose School PTA will meet at 9:15 a.m. at their respective schools.
The South Side Civic Association will hold its meeting on Sept. 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the recreation center.

Patriot Day
Town of Hempstead will host its 9/11 Memorial Service on Sept. 11 at 7:30 a.m. at the town park at Point Lookout.
Floral Park will hold its 9/11 Memorial Service on Friday, Sept. 11, at 8:30 a.m. at village hall. The Reliance Firehouse at 2 Holland Ave. (near Jericho Turnpike) will also host a 9/11 Memorial Service at 6:15 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 12
The Floral Park Lions Club will hold a flag re-dedication ceremony at Lion’s Park on Tulip Avenue at noon on Sept. 12.
Town of Hempstead’s 31st Annual Triathlon will be held on Sept. 12 at 8 a.m. at the town park at Point Lookout.

Grandparents Day
The Floral Park Historical Society will meet on Sunday, Sept. 13, at 2 p.m. at the recreation center. The 35th Annual Antique Motorcycle Show will be held at the Queens County Farm Museum on Sunday, Sept. 13, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorcycles will be displayed in the apple orchard. The show will include various makes and models of motorcycles, some custom and many that have been out of production for more than 10 years. Music, museum tours, hayrides, petting zoo and food will be available. To enter motorcycles for show, arrive at the farm between 10 and 10:30 a.m. No fee to register motorcycles.
