Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth and Councilwoman Anna Kaplan, in partnership with the Great Neck Park District, welcomed Persian musician Hengameh for a free concert at North Hempstead Beach Park in Port Washington on Aug. 23. Thousands of attendees enjoyed an evening on the beach listening to Hengameh perform her musical hits, including selections from her debut album Baray-e Didan-e To. This is the third straight year the town’s summer concert series has featured a Persian singer. Last year, pop singer Pouya performed, preceded in 2013 by R&B singer Kamy R.
