New Season At Music Conservatory

GNMusic_092316AThe Great Neck Music Conservatory is holding its Fall Open House on Sunday, Oct. 4. Children, teens and grown-ups are invited to share and experience music-making, enjoy free “mini lessons,” an afternoon concert and dessert.

Among the courses, the conservatory is highlighting this season are its Group Flute Class for Adult Beginners, Introduction to Historical Performance, Chamber Music, Adult Chamber Music, Group Violin Class for Adult Beginners, Music Theory and Piano Duets.

New teachers have also joined the conservatory, located at 625 Middle Neck Rd.

David Kim has degrees from Harvard University, New England Conservatory, Cleveland Institute of Music and SUNY Stony Brook. He’s an accomplished pianist, composer and devoted to the art of teaching.

Sam Bae’s advanced technique and artistry as a cellist has earned him grand prizes at numerous competitions. Bae has received both a bachelor’s and master’s in music from The Juilliard School.

Michael Thomas is an award-winning saxophonist, composer and arranger who has earned degrees from the University of Miami, New England Conservatory and The Juilliard School.

Ruzan Asatryan is an Armenian-born pianist who has actively performed as a soloist and chamber musician. She now dedicates her time to teaching young pianists at all ages and levels.
