I attended the third annual Williston Park Recreation Committee Golf Outing for the first time recently. As a 19-year resident of the village, I have attended many functions of the committee like the Easter Egg Hunt, Family Fun Day and the wonderful summer concerts at Kelleher Field to name a few. These events are funded by the Recreation Committee through fundraisers such as the golf outing.
As a first time attendee to the outing I cannot begin to tell you how welcome the members made me feel and what a great time everyone in attendance had. This could not be possible without the hard work that went into putting such an event together.
I want to thank the Williston Park Recreation Committee members for making the day such an enjoyable one and the effort they put forth that day and at all the events are much appreciated. Billy and Cathy Carr, Tara Bridges, Kevin Rynne, Tim Casey and the rest of the Williston Park Recreation Committee whose members are all volunteers are a shining example of why this village is such a great place to live and raise a family.
