The Oyster Bay-Enterprise Pilot has a long, rich history in the Oyster Bay-East Norwich community and while the stories of each original paper (the East Norwich Enterprise and the Oyster Bay Pilot) are varied and unique, the area has been served by a community newspaper for 135 years, making it one of the longest running papers on Long Island, and the second oldest owned by Anton Media Group. It has been a part of the Anton family for 31 years, where we strive to continue the tradition of quality reporting on issues important to the local community. We hope you enjoy this peek back in time, especially during a week when Oyster Bay puts on its best show of the year: the Oyster Festival. Though the festival is much younger than the paper, it has also become one of the community’s mainstays, bringing people together and helping to remember that the area continues to grow and change while always remembering its roots.
