The Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA) New York East chapter’s 2015 3rd Annual Dinner Gala was held on Oct. 15 at Leonard’s Palazzo of Great Neck.
AREAA recognized honorees Charles Chan, CEO of Harvest International, for Outstanding Leadership in Real Estate & Global Relations; Grace Shim, Esq., executive director of MinKwon Center received the Community Action for Outstanding Community Service Award; and Yong Lee, president of X-Treme Care, LLC, for Outstanding Contribution to Real Estate. Citations were awarded from Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano as well as the New York State Assembly office of Edward Braunstein.
Margaret Ling, Esq., founding director of AREAA, and Grace Meng, Esq., U.S. Congresswoman for the 6th District, were in attendance.
According to AREEA President Dave Legaz, the 2015 National Association of Realtors Profile of International Home Buying Activity estimated international sales at $104 billion between April 2014 to March 2015, a 13 percent increase compared to the previous year. AREAA members represent real estate, mortgage and housing-related professionals that serve the Asian-American market.
