Manhasset has a notoriously low turnout for local elections. Let’s change that low statistic this year by going to the polls and electing a fellow Manhassetite. I urge the residents of the unincorporated areas of Manhasset (Bayview, Shorehaven, Terrace Manor, Norgate, all of the Strathmores, Spinney Hill and the town area itself, Manhasset Park) to get out and vote for Manhasset resident Mary Kay Barket who is running for North Hempstead Town Council. Mary Kay’s concerns are the very problems we in Manhasset would like to see addressed: parking on Plandome Road, the increase in crime and pedestrian safety to name just a few. There has not been a Manhasset resident on the Town Council in over twenty years. We could have that Manhasset representation again by voting for Mary Kay Barket!
